I See You

I see you.

How many pictures did you take before you found one you would post?

“My hair’s too messy.”

“My smile looks weird.”

“I look fat from that angle.”

“I should try another pose.”

Don’t you ever get tired?

Tired of putting yourself under a microscope?

Tired of trying to live up to everyone else’s expectations?

Tired of letting other people’s social media pages tell you who YOU should be?

Tired of competing with standards that aren’t even real?

When is enough, enough?

When will YOU be enough?

How about today?

What if today, right now, you refused to play the game?

Refused to spend so much time trying to create a version of yourself they will like?

Refused to look at yourself through anyone else’s eyes but your own?

But God’s?

What if every picture you took was amazing?

Every quirk you had was incredible?

What if you KNEW you were BEAUTIFUL… TALENTED… SMART… UNSTOPPABLE?

What if the music you like to hear… the movies you love to watch… the clothes you prefer to wear… and the hobbies you enjoy doing were all MORE than good enough?

Not because THEY said so…

But because YOU said so.

Because YOU DECIDED…

Even if they judge you…

Even if they criticize you…

Even if they reject you…

That the person God made you to be

Is who YOU are GOING TO BE?

Totally…

Completely…

Fully…

Courageously…

Boldly…

Proudly…

Blissfully…

Unapologetically.

IMAGINE what it would be like…

If you LOVED being you.
